1990 Defender
Let’s start Monday with something you really won’t see every day… a 1990 Defender 110. Your eyes aren’t fooling you; this is indeed a classic Defender in all its glory!
This Defender came to us from the collection of a local client who also sold a very desirable vehicle in their collection(stay tuned for that post). As such, this is a bona fide right-hand drive Defender from 1990 that was imported to the country, so this is not a North American Spec Defender either(those made their way to our shores in 1993).
Under the hood is a 200tdi 2.5-liter turbo diesel engine with around 107hp and 195 lb-ft of torque. This power is sent to the all-wheel-drive system via the 5-speed manual transmission. The Defender also has a low-range transfer case with a locking center differential. This Defender has modern amenities like air conditioning, captain’s chairs for the rear passenger, and a Sony double-DIN stereo system.
